Ventrilo - User Editor - Chan Auth tab

Channels have three modes of access rights:  Open to Public, Channel Password and User Authorization. These are called the Protected modes.

User Authorization protected mode requires that the client have an account on the server and that account must be given explicit access rights to enter specific User Authorization channels. By default a channel that is configured for User Authorization protected mode will have either a Yellow "+" or "-" as its icon. A Red "+" or "-" means that the channel requires a global password.
