Account is locked

This option will lock the account and prevent the User from logging in. When checked, you must provide a ‘Reason’ why the account has been locked. The reason will be sent to the person trying to connect with this account so that they know why their account has been locked.

Note: Only a Server Admin can see and lock the (Guest) account. This is a convenient way to turn an open public server into a private User Account only server. Simply lock the (Guest) account and provide a reason, for example: "Server will be open to the public again at 10:30pm" or whatever you want it to say. Any guest who tries to connect will see the reason you entered.

Reason locked

If you check the "Account is locked" box then you must provide a reason why the account has been locked. The message will be sent to the client when they attempt to login using this Account name.

In reserved list

When checked this Account will get preferential treatment when logging into the server and all slots are full. If there is a client logged in as a Guest then they will be kicked first in order to open a slot for this connecting client. If there are no Guests logged in then an account User who does not have this right will be kicked instead.

If all currently connected clients are part of the Reserved list and the person logging in has the Server Admin right then the server will kick one of the active clients so long as they are not a Server Admin themselves.

Receive broadcast streams

When checked the Account will receive all voice broadcast streams. When not checked it will not receive any voice streams including User-to-User and Private chat voice streams. It is strongly recommended that you leave this option enabled unless you have a specific reason to disable it, other than to annoy the account User.

The only practical reason to turn it off is to prevent Guest accounts from hijacking your server. But it would be better to put a password on your server, lock the Guest account or limit the amount of time a Guest can stay connected along with a auto-timed ban (See Server Properties).

Add phantoms

This option enables the Account to add and remove phantoms to channels that support it.

Record

This option allows the Account to record voice conversations with the built-in recorder.

Ignore inactivity timers

This option prevents inactivity timers from triggering on this Account. Very useful if a channel or server has an inactivity timer but the Account is used for streaming music.

Send complaints

This option enables the Account to use the "Lodge complaint about..." feature from the main window. It is strongly recommended that you leave this feature off for the Guest account.

Receive complaints

This option enables the Account to receive and review any outstanding complaints about other Users. You should consider restricting this feature to those people who have the "Add Users" admin right.

Only a Server Admin can change this option.

Duplicate IP's

This option will restrict the number of times a duplicate IP address can be used by the same account or in conjunction with other accounts coming from the same IP address. If you create two or more accounts and they all happen to be from the same IP, such as family members in the same house or coworkers in the same building, then it is important to assign the Duplicate IP value to each of the defined login accounts. Doing one without the other will cause the other to get a duplicate IP's now allowed message when they try to login.

Switch channels

This option dictates if the Account is allowed to change channels on his own. When not checked it will not prevent the "Default channel" from being used nor will it prevent an Admin from moving the client to a different channel. When disabled for Guest accounts it can be used to control the channel that the client connects to when used in conjunction with the "Default channel".

Default channel

This option specifies that each time the Account logs into the server they will automatically be placed in the specified channel even if the connecting client has specified its own default channel for this server.

Click the "..." button to select a default channel or (None) to remove an existing one.
